A Family Studio, Since 1994

Where it began

Lovely Knot is the wedding and celebration stationery studio of Selim and Ayşegül Gömeç. Our family started working with paper and print on 1 March 1994, and we have been at it without a break ever since. Our parent company, OfficePrint, keeps design, pre-press and printing under one roof, so every invitation is thought through, proofed and produced by the same hands.

Lovely Knot grew out of the custom wedding invitations we designed for our own clients. Couples kept asking for something they could not find in a catalog, and that is still how we work today: we start from your story, your colors and your venue, and build the invitation around them.

Milestones along the way

Craft that is hard to replace

Alongside modern laser cutting and digital printing, we still run Heidelberg platen letterpresses. The design dates back to 1914 and the machines are no longer manufactured, which is exactly why we value them: they press letters and embossing into thick cotton paper with a depth that digital printing cannot copy. It is slow, demanding work, and a skilled press operator is rare, so we treat that knowledge as part of what we hand on.

Every order follows the same path: a typographer's proof for your approval, hand assembly of each piece, and insured courier delivery to your door.

Made in Istanbul, shipped worldwide

Our studio and workshop are in Istanbul, Turkey, where paper craft has a long tradition. Working directly from the studio keeps our pricing fair and our quality in our own hands. Today nearly 300 dealers around the world carry our designs, and we ship custom Wedding and Bar/Bat Mitzvah invitations to families across the United States.
